 Helping people is something that has been very close to my heart since I was young. As someone who wasn’t able to access appropriate support for myself, it has become my goal in life to make sure others don’t suffer the same fate.

My Background

As a teenager, myself and my family knew I was struggling in ways that my peers were not, however, it wasn’t until adulthood that any explanation would come. I was diagnosed with Autism, ADHD and DID. With these diagnosis I found a lot of explanations of difficulties I had throughout my life and was able to give some explanation to my family of the difficulties they faced with raising me. Unfortunately, once I was diagnosed, this was the end of the line in terms of support. I had to undertake an immense amount of research, soul searching and understanding for these diagnoses to make sense to me. I believe if I had the appropriate support after diagnosis, or even before, my life would have been significantly easier to navigate and I would have been able to create the support system I now have, with much more ease. With this work, I was also able to come to terms with how much difficulty my family faced with so much unknown and no idea how to appropriately support me, having been provided no advice by the mental health teams I was under. This is where my services come into play. I would like to be the support for others that myself and my family were lacking and help people to understand themselves, their families and their diagnoses with much more ease.

My Approach

 I am currently undertaking a variety of studying to further my understanding and abilities to help others. 
This includes a counselling degree that I Hope to complete by 2028, with qualification and licensing being awarded in 2027. Until then, I plan to use my own experiences, knowledge and prior qualifications to support people through discovery different diagnostic processes, and provide support for the family surrounding them as well.
